Faith Leaders Roundtable Discussion: Climate Action

Faith Leaders Unite for #ClimateAction 🌎

A Roundtable Discussion on Embedding Faith Climate Action in Brent took place on Wednesday 6 March.

Imams, Rabbis, Reverends and representatives from diverse religions and traditions in Brent convened in a shared commitment for climate action

I hosted and organised the event in collaboration with Brent’s Faith Climate Action Group and the Brent Multifaith Forum. It aimed to galvanise leaders in embedding the Faith Climate Action Plan and Brent’s Climate Charter across places of worship, and voluntary and community groups throughout Brent

The roundtable delved into challenges faced by faith organisations in implementing sustainable actions and explored potential solutions. Additionally, participants explored strategies to engage more faith communities in collective climate action efforts with the council

Faith leaders play a vital role in community cohesion & addressing pressing social issues, including climate change. The roundtable discussed the necessity to have faith leader’s actively part of climate initiatives
